There is a new protocol called RSS. This is used by news sites. It enables a news site or weblog to show a webuser all it's headlines / logs, without having to transmit a heavy HTML, graphics savvy page. You can see the headlines of multiple sites with one client. This really isn't a problem ... the data feeds will be xml as well (which is what RSS is) ... RSS itself is a news propogation format, it isn't really good for caching ... but the principal of RSS and our extracts is the same.
