As side from from signing up with a particular site--cacher comes to the site--there needs to be a way for the site to find the cacher.
The best and most effective way I can think of is using a search engine like Google.
Next we need to determine if the cache owner should submit a list of URLs to be followed or the URL of a single list of all of his caches.
I'm thinking that instead of Googling for individual caches, we should Google for cache lists. This will reduce the number of hits and links to investigate. It would also make it easier for a cacher to submit his caches to any particular listing service--just list one URL and the service crawls the list.
All we really need is a unique word somewhere on the cache list page.

Does Google search for META tags? You could use another geo.cache tag for searching.
/me would have to split his geocache page in two for this, since now the hidden and found caches are on one singel page... but this would be no problem for me. |
